  Luring Robin

Miami marketing expert Robin Long agrees to help her best friend, Bella, with her soon-to-arrive newborn. What the overweight and overworked executive doesn’t expect when she arrives in Pleasure, Montana, is to fall in love with Bella’s two hunky neighbors, Matt and Clay Stegman.

Both men adore the fact that she has some meat on her bones, and they spend the next two weeks trying to convince her that they are the right men for her. After Clay encourages her to pose nude for him, his photos illustrate a happy and beautiful woman. Never have two men made her feel so adored and appreciated.

But when she puts on her Miami clothes and excessive makeup at her good-bye party, the men believe being herself might be too hard to maintain once at home. What can they do to convince her to return and join them in a thrilling ménage relationship?

Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among siblings.

  Chapter One

Clay Stegman knocked back his beer. “Here it comes! Get ready.” While it might have been superstitious, he leaned forward on the living room sofa and crossed his fingers, hoping his best friend, Trent Stafford, would win the best album of the year at the Country Music Awards ceremony.

Hawk and Clete Knight banged together their beer bottles, and the room finally got quiet.

Clay’s brother nudged him. “You should have gone to support him.”

“I just got back from a three-week tour with Trent.” Clay had collected at least a thousand pictures of the country singer. His fans were going to love the shots he’d taken, but the sessions had been intense. “I needed a break.”

“Ha. You just wanted to be here when Bella’s girlfriend comes to town.”

  Caught.

“So what? Bella’s hot. Her Miami socialite friend has got to be, too.”

Bella patted her bulging belly. “It’ll be a while before anyone considers me hot.”

Her husband slipped next to her and kissed her cheek. “Miami, you’ll always be hot to me.”

Bella did look beautiful despite being almost nine months pregnant. Not only was she a bit anxious about having her first child, but she was worried about her best friend, Robin. Bella had told all of them that given Robin’s high-stress job, her friend needed a little help relaxing. Would they be willing to help?

No red-blooded cowboy could turn down that request. The reason Bella gave Robin for the visit was that Bella would need help when the baby came. Apparently Robin never could say no to her. The last time Robin agreed to help, she ended up swapping identities with her best friend.

Possessing the remote, Bella increased the sound. Tanya Steel, last year’s best female vocalist, floated out from stage right in a long white dress. He didn’t know what the fuss was about her. While she was pretty, she was way too thin for him. Christ. He bet a guy with any muscles would break her in two during sex. What ever happened to women like Marilyn Monroe or Anna Nicole Smith? The good ones died too young.

The hostess smiled and read the names of the nominated artists.

Clay finished his beer. “Come on, Trent.”

“The winner of the best album of the year is—” She waited a few seconds before ripping open the envelope. “Trent Stafford.”

Applause broke out in the elite award ceremony audience. Clay jumped up and whistled. He was thrilled for his good friend. No one deserved this more than hardworking Trent. It didn’t hurt the value of Clay’s photos either. They just became more valuable. While he never spent the money he got from being the president of Trent’s fan club, it was nice to know people would be clamoring to get an inside look at the famous man.

The camera panned to the Pleasure native as he walked up to the stage to receive the award. Clay probably should have at gone to the Mountain View Bar & Grill to celebrate with the rest of the town, but the crush would have been intense. Whenever a hometown boy did well, everyone went wild. In truth, he’d rather be at his boss’s house enjoying the award ceremony in comfort.

Bella lowered the volume. Not that the group wasn’t interested in the rest of the awards, but one of the reasons he’d come over was to get the scoop on Robin Long, Bella’s girlfriend.

Clete got up from the sofa and disappeared into
the kitchen. He brought back a tray of snacks and more drinks. “I got a call this afternoon. I’ve got to head out East and take care of some business.” He placed the food on the coffee table and kissed his wife in an apparent apology.

Clay leaned back on the sofa. “Who’s going to pick up Robin?” He wanted to be the first to volunteer for the job if Bella hadn’t assigned anyone.

Bella smiled. “I would ask Hawk or Raven, but I know they have deadlines to meet.”

The fact that her other two husbands were both in their on-site motorcycle shop right now implied that was the truth. “I can go.”

Matt nudged him. “Not without me.” He nodded to Bella. “Knowing Clay, he’ll be a little heavy-handed with the seduction, and she’ll turn right around and hop on the next plane back to Miami.”

Clay feigned being offended. “Me? I realize she’s only coming for two weeks. I’ll be good.”

“You telling me that if she’s hot you won’t try to get her in bed?” He cocked a brow.

  He grinned. “Guilty.”

  They all laughed.

Bella rubbed her stomach. “Listen. I asked Robin here.” She pressed her lips together. “I just want you to show her a good time. My best friend has been working nonstop since I’ve been here. Her company works her to death, and she doesn’t date or have any fun.”

“You worked together for a while, didn’t you?”

“Yes. That’s why I know she needs a warm Montana welcome.”

Clay smiled. “She’s come to the right place. Does she like snow?” It was February, and the ground was coated in the stuff.

“She likes walking on the beach and wearing tank tops. I don’t know about snow.”

He looked at his brother whose brows were both raised. “Fine. But during the two weeks she’s here, Matt and I will entertain her. We’ll get her to love what Pleasure, Montana has to offer.”

Bella smiled and rubbed her stomach again. “I appreciate you doing this. I’d drive to Bozeman and pick her up myself, but I fear that in that one-hour drive, the baby will decide to come.”

Clay leaned over and lightly clasped her arm. “Don’t worry about a thing. We will take care of Robin like Clete, Hawk, and Raven took care of you.”

Clete chuckled. “Give the girl a chance to know you first.”

Matt was not smiling. “I’ll make sure he keeps his dick in his pants for a few days.”

They all laughed, though he had every intention of foiling that attempt.

  * * * *

Robin Long sat near the plane’s window needing to see the outside world as she flew. As she crossed the United States, she watched the leaves on the trees disappear and the ground turn brown. The closer she got to Montana, the more white stuff blanketed the area. Bella had told her to be prepared for the cold. Unfortunately, her concept of what cold might have been might not have been the same for the Montanans. Robin tried to bring clothes to layer, but she didn’t own anything other than good leather boots and an unlined waist-length coat. Florida living was not conducive to dressing for the cold. Ugh. Why couldn’t her friend have had her baby in the summer?

Maybe the hardest adjustment was going to be getting used to calling her friend Bella instead of Robin since Robin had borrowed Bella’s identity to escape Miami. Oh, well, it might end up being a good thing. For the next two weeks, she could pretend to be someone else—Robin Long. If she was lucky, work would leave her alone and she could enjoy her time with her good friend who she hadn’t seen in eighteen months. Robin wasn’t all that hopeful she’d escape being bugged because there were a lot of loose ends at work that only she knew how to tie.

Bella had sent some photos of her three hunky husbands. If all of the men in Pleasure were even half as good-looking as they were, Robin was in for two weeks of eye candy. Too bad Bella was five foot eight inches and skinny as shit. Her friends probably thought everyone in Miami was model perfect. Wait until they got a look at her. She was five foot seven inches if she inhaled and stood up real tall. Okay, she was five foot seven if she wore four-inch heels. As for her weight, all she’d admit was that hadn’t seen one hundred and thirty in quite some time despite constantly dieting and working out. At least her fat was firm. She tried to convince herself that she was just big-boned.

The loudspeaker in the way-too-small commuter plane announced they would be landing soon. Why she was nervous about coming here, she wasn’t sure. Her anxiety relating to this small bucket of tin was well understood. It had bounced the whole way from Chicago to Bozeman.

Her only chore in Pleasure was to take care of Bella. Her friend was supposed to have delivered the baby already, but so far, the kid was being stubborn about making an appearance. No doubt that was a trait the little girl had inherited from her mom.

If Robin could have made her reservations after the baby came or taken off different days, she would have. The problem was that two weeks from tomorrow, her promotion would take effect, so coming here any later wouldn’t have worked. She’d been at the firm five years and finally, after all her hard work, she was going to be rewarded.

Stop thinking about work. Enjoy yourself.

Robin inhaled and squeezed the arms of the seat as the commuter plane made its approach. The moment the wheels touched down, she let out her breath. The regional airport looked really small. She hadn’t expected something like the Miami International Airport, but she thought Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport would have been a little bigger than a Walmart and its parking lot.

Snow covered the mountains in the distance and everything in between. Yikes, she wasn’t ready for this.

  Bella needs me.

Her friend had said she would be sending one of her husbands to pick her up and to look for a tall man with a sign. Here goes. She buttoned her coat as she waited in line to get off. Oh, my. This plane wasn’t going to the terminal. Instead, it had stopped in the middle of the tarmac.

As soon as she got to the exit, the cold nearly froze her face. If the airline would have let her, she would have turned around and flown back to Miami. At the bottom of the stairs, the other passengers were huddled around while the workers unloaded the luggage. She tugged on her skirt, as it had ridden up on her waist. Perhaps wearing her expensive four-inch pumps wasn’t the brightest move, nor was going without some kind of hose. She glanced around and noted almost everyone had on jeans, boots, and heavy jackets. Could she say she felt out of place or what?

By the time she spotted her luggage, her hands and face were frozen. Dragging her wheeled luggage took a lot of tugging and balance. Most of the snow had melted on the pavement, but chunks of ice dotted the path. With each step, her temper rose. She wished someone had warned her about these conditions. Stop being a bitch and have fun. Inhaling, she tried to kick her frustrations out of her body.

Finally, she got inside, and the warmth embraced her. She scanned the small crowd for a sign but spotted nothing. Through the crowd, two sexy men plowed toward her.

“You must be Robin.” Dimples creased the tall man’s too handsome face.

Her heart jacked up. Two of the finest specimens stood before her, neither of which resembled Bella’s husbands. The one grinning was about six feet tall of pure joy and muscle. She might have been from Miami where most of the men who trolled the beach could have modeled for Calvin Klein, but the sincerity in this man’s eyes had everything below her waist vibrating. The other man was equally as handsome, but he appeared more of a bodyguard type. His serious demeanor, however, didn’t detract from his overly large, firm, supple—stop it.

“Yes.” She let go of one suitcase and stuck out her hand.

“I’m Clay,” said the smiling one. “This here is my brother, Matt.”

Clay took the suitcases from her, and Matt immediately removed his large, heavy jacket and placed it around her shoulders.

  “You look cold.”

From the fact her lips were probably blue and her cheeks were most likely bright red, he was good at
reading clues. “Yes.”

Good Lord. She was a marketing guru who gave presentations to a large number of executives all day long, and yet she never had a problem speaking until now. It must be the time change or cold weather that had frozen the speaking part of her brain.

“Follow us to the winter wonderland,” Clay said with such excitement it was clear he believed Montana was the only place on earth to live.

She felt bad about wearing Matt’s coat, but he did have on a few other layers, and she had been really underdressed. She tightened her hold on the lapels to keep out the chill. Matt walked alongside her as if he feared she’d slip on the occasionally wet floor of the terminal. It only took a minute before they were outside again.

  “Here we go,” Clay said.

Wow. He’d parked in front of the door. In Miami his car would have been impounded already. Matt held open the passenger door while Clay loaded her suitcases in the back. Clay got into the driver’s side while Matt scooted in back.

In no time, they were on the open road. She wasn’t sure what to expect, but a big city it was not. In fact, there was nothing here but mostly empty space. The vastness of the area almost thrilled her. On the other hand, the isolation alarmed her.

Clay glanced over at her. “Nice heels.”

She pressed her lips together to stop a retort. “I would have looked funny in knee-high snow boots leaving Miami.”

He chuckled. “You own snow boots?” There was too much of a thrill in his voice.

  “No.”

  “Didn’t think so.”
